I admit I'm no electronic music connoisseur, but I know an electronic masterpiece when I hear one. The Preset's new CD Apocalypso is not only a tasty blend of dance beats that cover a broad spectrum of electronic styles, but it also contains some of the sexiest male vocals I've heard in a long time — and I dare say — maybe, ever. Just one listen to the last track "Anywhere" and you'll see right away why I want to bed this Australian duo everytime I hear the song (and I'm sure I'm definitely not alone in this feeling). Although only their second full length, their sound and style has become so polished that the CD debuted at #1 on the Australian music charts and accomplished something that most artists can't do very well anymore: have almost every track contain single potential. It's obvious that these guys didn't want any filler tracks, every song has been fully thought through. I don't think there's much else left to say other than if you like any electronic music at all and/or love to dance, get this album. Do it now. The album is like a fine wine, it gets more savory the more you listen to it. They're also on tour right now.
